Over the decades I’ve been writing, I’ve sampled, purchased, tested, and used a number of resources geared toward writers. The market is flooded with such services, and there is an astonishing amount of free resources available to writers now too. Writing is such a solitary journey, and if you are in the indie author sphere (and also the traditionally published realm), you are responsible for a small army of items necessary to create, publish, and market your book. The following are resources I recommend. PUBLISHER ROCKET
This tool helps authors optimize their book listings and find success on the Amazon marketplace with its keyword and competitor analysis tools. It will help you uncover high-performing keywords, which helps with your books’ discoverability (i.e., when people search for a book relevant to yours, your keywords are one of the biggest distinguishing features). But you also learn more about books like yours and how to market them competitively. This tool has helped authors write to market, advertise effectively, and find their ideal readers.

THE CREATIVE'S CONTENT CLUB
Shelby Leigh’s club is a membership community (via private Facebook page) where busy folks are provided continual social media templates, marketing masterclasses, Q&As, community help and more. This is a great place for novices in the book world, but also for people who will utilize a template and brand it for themselves. As the community grows, you can also make author connections with the possibility for collaborations. Check it out...maybe it's a good fit for you.
DAVID GAUGHRAN
Here’s another author and publisher maverick whose newsletter is worth subscribing to. He is also selfless and generous with the information he provides to authors—and he stays on tops of industry changes, which is immensely helpful—and has several free resources, along with paid. Plus, he’s funny. Great for new and seasoned authors. Check out his stuff here.
