This collection of Katherine Cobb's favorite columns brings humor, truth, and light to the everyday struggles of being a wife, mother, daughter and friend. From the quandary of finding just 30 minutes of peace to the pain of sending your last child off to college, each slice-of-life story is told simply and honestly, in a way that will make you laugh and/or cry. Each page feels real and relatable. Kudos to Ms. Cobb for sharing personal tales of “mothering, wife-ing, abuse, loss and discovery” in a way that helps each of us process the same issues.

This is a great and easy read when you want to feel connected to other human beings navigating life. It is satisfying and secretly somewhat selfish, to read that you are not the only one on the planet whose family drives them crazy, who relishes in secret personal victories or who experiences moments of "is it just me?" The author does not spare any details so that one feels and experiences the sheer honesty of each article. I have read and re-read this lovely piece of writing, as I find something new to which I relate each time I read it.
